5 :00 am your tour guide pick up you then transfer to our Bicycle store to choose suitable bikes and after a short ride we embark on the local ferry for the Duy Hai fishing village. Not many travelers venture here, so expect plenty of attention from the locals.
You will see the fishermen bring in their catch from a night at sea on the river delta; where ocean and river meet. See the fishermen unload their catch and sell to the local market stall holders and restaurateurs and witness how locals smoke and dry the fish. There is ample opportunity to capture the morning light spilling across the water, to get shots of light filtering through the fish smoking chamber and plenty of countryside greenery to give you a nice contrast. After that we visit a local family business who make fish sauce. Here you can see how the process of how fish sauce is made.
During your Cycling time along this narrow dirt road, you will have a chance to interact with local daily life, school children going to school, people going about their lives and interact in the Noi Rang market, which had it’s beginnings in the 1970s.
We stop at a local family coffee shop where we have some coffee and snacks.
We then catch our boat on our way back to Hoi An. On the way back we cycle through Cam Thanh village and take a basket boat thought Water Coconut palm forest. You will meet the local people, try fishing using a traditional net, attempt to catch crabs (only small ones) and race each other in a traditional basket boat.
When you’ve had enough fun we finish the tour with a leisurely ride through the winding paths and roads of Cam Thanh village back to your hotel.
